Frederic acaba de nacer! Lo que significa que esta noche no he dormido. A las 4 y media estaba dando vueltas con un dolor de barriga... supongo que por la sobredosis de Haagen Dazs que me metí, bueno supongo no, seguro (pero estamos hablando del de fresa y pastel de queso, a ver quien se aguanta sin hincarle el diente). Y la calefacción, que promueve también el insomnio, que me asfixio, y si la quito me congelo. Así que in the middle of the night he valorado opciones para distraerme, y aunque estaba a punto de continuar con la lectura de "American Gods" de Neil Gaiman, que es un libro buenísimo y recomiendo a todas, me tiene enganchadísima, el ovillo de lana me llamaba a gritos, y ale, a crochetear sea dicho, y de tal ovillo Frederic ha salido, contento y feliz, llevando el nombre de mi papá. Mide 7 cms. y podéis adoptarlo en Etsy!
Por cierto, la lana, todo un hallazgo... de la marca Rowan, es súper esponjosa que da gusto, y el color es lo más (aunque para apreciarlo mejor en vivo y en directo, que la foto está un poco perri, y es que la cámara no me chuta, sorry...), de la línea "Soft Baby", 50% lana, 30% poliamida y 20% algodón. Carilla pero altamente recomendada también. Y Rowan tiene web! :)

Frederic has just been born! Wich means that I didn´t sleep tonight... At 4:30 I was turning and turning in bed, with a terrible stomach ache... I guess because of the Haagen Dazs overdose I got hours before... Well, I don´t guess, I´m sure (but I´m talking about the strawberry cheesecake one, so NO WAY to stop). So, in the middle of the night, I thought what I could do to distract myself, and even seduced by the idea of following with the reading of Neil Gaiman´s "American Gods" wich the best and I highly recommend, the new yarn I got called me from the corner and couldn´t help it. And so that piece of yarn has become Frederic who, happy and joyful has my Dad´s name. He measures 7 cms. and you can adopt him on Etsy!
By the way, the yarn, spectacular... From the "Rowan" brand, is super fluffy that you melt touching it, and the color is awesome (even if it´s difficult to appreciate on the picture, quite a shitty one... sorry... camera is down), from the "Soft baby" Rowan´s line, being 50% wool, 30% acrylic and 20% cotton. Expensive but worth the price, highky recommended too. And Rowan has a website!

Libro del año / Book of the year ^w^

Hola guapíssimassss... Mirad, mirad lo que me ha llegado hoy por correo desde el país del sol naciente! Este MARAVILLOSO librito de bordados, y encima con temática, los países escandinavos! Que personalmente me encantan, y aunque de ellos sólo (que ya es) he pisado Suecia, conozco a una parejita de noruegos y son gente genial. Volviendo al libro, está lleno llenísimo de iconos escandinavos (el típico caballito rojo sueco,los símbolos de correos, etc...), tradiciones, naturaleza y cositas de diseño, en las que son unos cerebritos, creo que eso ya lo sabemos todas (muebles, objetos de cocina y decoración, etc...), packaging de alimentos, que me FLIPAN (en Suecia coleccionaba los mini briks de leche, con un logo con una vaquita que era lo más!), animales,... Así que ahora toca aprender las puntadas y dale que te pego a la aguja! Que el punto de cruz lo domino, gracias a mi mami, pro en el tema, pero los bordados de este tipo creo que son más complicaíllos... Sin embargo, con ejemplos como los del libro, cualquiera no prueba! LO AMO!!!

La maravilla en cuestión me la recomendó mi amiguita Alicia, que tiene su propio país de las maravillas en nuestra ciudad, Barcelona, bautizado con el nombre de Duduá y que os haría mucho bien el visitar :)

Hello beauties... Look, look what I got today in the post from Japan! This WONDERFUL book about stitching, and even with a super cute theme, the Scandinavian lands! Wich I personally adore, and even just (just... wich is already a lot!) knowing Sweden, I know a couple of norvegians who are absolutely great. Getting back to the book again, it´s full with scandinavian icons (the typical swedish red little horse, the post symbols, etc...), traditions, nature and design objects (they´re the masters with furniture, kitchen utensiles, decoration... but I think we all already know that), food packaging wich I LOVE (while in Sweden, I was collecting the milk briks, with a little cow logo being the best of bests!),animals,... So next comes learning how to do the different types of stitches and go on with the needle! I have knowledge with cross stitch thanks to my Mum´s skills, but I think this is gonna be quite more complicated... Anyway, with examples like the ones on the book, who wouldn´t try 1000 times?! I LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!

The wonder was recommended by Alicia, who could never miss a single cuteness and who also has her own wonderland in our city, Barcelona, called Dudua, and wich would do a lot of good to you to visit! :)

Coco & Choco ^w^

Estos son Coco y Choco, los dos osimadalenos que hice este domingo para Dawanda. Dulces?

Cuidado con Mamegoma, que me han dicho que es de goma... ^w^

Y cuidado porque Mamegoma, además de ser de goma, es tan mona que de la impresión puedes entrar en coma... Que es lo que casi me ha pasado a mí esta mañana... Pues ha llamado el cartero a mi puerta (sí, estaba bueno, típico rubiales ojos azules), y me ha largado un paquetillo que venía de San Francisco, la ciudad de mis sueños, donde quiero ir a parar tarde o temprano (mejor si es tempranillo, de todos modos), con una cajita con Mamegomas dibujadas por todos lados y muchas letras en japonés. Al abrirla, había una enorme pelota rosa como hecha de polvos de lavadora. Gracias a Dios, como los japos se enrollan, incluían gráficos para enterarte de qué iba el tema. La bola eran sales para el baño, perfumada y, como ya he dicho, ROSA. Así que, estudiando tales gráficos con cara de besugo y un poco de mala conciencia por no estar delante del ordenador, he empezado a llenar la bañera y he tirado la bola de la que, al disolverse, ha salido esta Mamegoma!!! (Una foquita, aquí montada en una nube en la repisa de la bañera, por si no se entiende la foto) Ay, ay, ay, que casi me da aaaalgooo! Qué monaaaadaaaa!!! No me digáis que esto no es empezar bien el día: un tío bueno te trae uno de tus muñecos preferidos de tu ciudad preferida y encima te das un baño de color rosa, sí, sí, sí! Quizás muchas pensaréis que mejor si el pibón se hubiese unido al baño pero, hijas mías, tampoco se puede pedir tanto... Y tras 4 posts de golpe, os deseo a todas muy feliiiceees sueños!

This morning the post guy knocked my door (yes, he was hot, typical German, blond and blue-eyed), bringing me a small package coming from San Francisco, the city of my dreams where I want to end up sooner or later (better sooner...), and containing a box full of Mamegomas drawn in it, and a lot of japanese writing too. When I opened it, I found a big pink ball, made out of what looked like washing machine powder... Thanks God, japanese are cool people, and so the box also got graphics explaining what was the thing for. That ball was a bath bomb, perfumed and, as I already said, PINK. So, studying the graphics with a "mmm..." face and feeling a little guilty for not being in front of the computer, I started filling the bathtub and threw the ball in from wich, when dissolved, came out this little Mamegoma!!! Damn, hoowww cuuuteee!!! Don´t tell me that this is not a good start of the day! A hot guy brings you one of your favorite characters from your favorite city and you even get a pink color bath, yes,yes, yes! Maybe many of you will think that it would have been better if the post guy would had join the bath but sweethearts, we cannot ask for that much... And after 4 posts, I wish you all happy dreeaams!

Y es que Tinee acaba de estrenar blog también! Y como la chica es piadosa pasa de escribirlo en alemán y lo hace en inglés, para que estemos todas contentas. Un blog lleno de cosas muy interesantes y bonitas... como ella! (es que me la quiero mucho mucho). Albertos Family! ^w^

Ole, ole! Acabo de recibir mensajillo de Sebastián diciendo que acaba de estrenar tienda también, en Etsy! Él (sí, sí chicas... ÉL) es el papá de cientos de conejitos y gatitos "Alberto" y su más reciente creación, el amoroso ciervito Joaquín (en la foto, obvio). Albertos y Joaquines campan y trotan felizmente por todo Berlín, y empiezan a asomar las orejitas también por Madrid, Barcelona, Hamburgo, Amsterdam, algún rincón de Suecia también... Sebastián tiene además el stand más mono de todo el mercadillo de Mauer Park, donde se planta cada domingo con su chica y su familia de Albertos (y una serie de bolsos que matan de bonitos, hay que decirlo), que lo llenan todo de color y alegría! Me gustan todos, todos, todos, y me encanta el hecho de que los haga un chico, ya era hora! Y que mucha mucha gente adopte sus tiernísimos y divertidos Albertitos y Joaquines, que con todo el cariño y trabajo que le pone lo merece!

Yeah, yeah! I just got a message from Sebastián explaining that he jut opened a shop too, in Etsy! He (you heard correct girls... HE) is the Dad of hundreds of bunnies and kitties called "Alberto" and his most recently creation, the loving tiny fawn Joaquín (on the picture above, obvious... again). Albertos and Joaquines are happily spread all over Berlin, and start to show off their sweetness too in Madrid, Barcelona, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Sweden... Sebastian also own the cutest stand in Berlin´s Mauer park flea market (Mauer Park means "wall´s park" in German, as long as a quite huge piece of the famous wall is still in there), where you can find him every Sunday with his girl and his Albertos family (and a collection of bags to die for,got to mention it...) filling everything with color and joy! I love all of them, and I absolutely like the fact that they´re made by a boy, it was time! And wish lot of people will adopt his super tender and funny Albertos and Joaquines. Seeing all the caring and work he puts on making them, he surely deserves it! Welcome then Sebastián! ^-^

Dawanda! ^w^

Tras siglos sin postear, aquí vuelvo de nuevo. Y es que estoy preparando un currillo que me trae de cabocio... 1000 horas al día de Potochó y nada de handmade, que tiraría el ordenador por la ventana y me refugiaría en mis lanas... El domingo ya me harté y haciendo caso de mi amiga Tinee ("Que te montes un Dawanda nena, que es gratix y mola"), pues me concedí un par de horitas y abrí tiendecita en Dawanda, que además es de Berlín y sí, ciertamente no te cobran un duro por nada, ni por colgar artículos, ni al venderlos,... Y eso está muy bien y nos gusta! :) Tengo muy pocas cositas, pues es que nada puedo hacer últimamente, lo que sólo hace que tenga más y más ganas de crochetear y serigrafiar, pero bueno, algo es algo dijo un calvo... Y aunque estas dos niñitas son ya muy conocidas por sus maravillas, por si acaso corre por ahí alguna princesilla despistada, ahí van sus webs/blogs que debéis visitar en imperativo, y si tenéis mascarilla de oxígeno a mano, tirad de ella en caso de ataque de "Lo quiero todoooo!!!".

After I don´t know how long without posting, here I go again. The delay is due to a work I´m doing and wich is driving me crazy crazy... 1000 hours a day in front of the Photoshop and no handmade at all, I´m so fed up that I would throw the laptop out of the window and run straight to my yarns... Anyway, having enough on Sunday and taking the advice of my cupcake mate Tinee ("Girl, open a shop in Dawanda, it´s cool and for free.."), I took a couple of hours and opened a little Dawanda shop, wich is from Berlin by the way and right, they don´t ask you for a single buck for anything, nor for uploading stuff or when selling... And this is very nice and we sure like it! :) There´s just a few things in it, as long as I don´t have time for doing anything so lately, wich just awakes more and more the need of "amigurumying", screenprinting... But at least it´s better than nothing! There goes then the adress:

Apart from that,I wanted to thank specially Lucía, from "Chicadecanela" (wich means "Cinnamon girl" all together in Spanish), and Marta from "Emedemarta" ("M for Marta" in Spanish too, just that the "M" letter we pronounce it "eme"), for their posts, wich filled me with joy! And apologize too for taking so long on "getting connected",but it seems to be already a classic in me to be out of time. And even if those two sweeties are already very well known for their golden hands, just in case there´s any distracted princess out there, here are their webs/blogs adresses being a MUST to check out!
