Buenos días guapas! Aquí está mi último Pepeluis. Le encanta el campo, por lo que suele cojer su mantita y su cestito con sus amigos el pollito, conejito y el nosequé y estirarse al sol sobre la hierba. De noche se refugian los 3 en su cajita bien juntitos y se cuentan cuentos hasta que les entran los bostezos y se quedan dormiditos...

El pasado domingo 8 fue mi cumpleaños! Doy las gracias a tod@s l@s que me habéis felicitado, a los nuevos amigos y a los de toda la vida, me hizo muchísima ilusión! Mi pareja se curró un buenísimo pastel (primera vez que un chico me hace un pastel, otro motivo de celebración que esto no pasa todos los días, oiga usted), mi familia se vino a Berlín a probarlo, pasando muy buenos momentos y mucho calor también, las temperaturas se dispararon en Alemania y sudamos la gota gorda, que ya era hora! En la foto, los dos regalos más especiales que me hicieron, un colgante con 2 alitas de libertad y para volar alto como dice mi papi, de "Tosh Berlin", que podría decir es mi tienda favorita en toda la ciudad, tienen unas joyas PRECIOSAS (y bolsitos, y monederos, y cinturones...). La descubrí al poco de llegar aquí y siempre me quedaba embobada frente al escaparate pero claro, como no habían dineros, pues ná de ná, y ahora me han caído felizmente las alitas, que me encantaaannn! Si os pasáis por Berlín, recomiendo una visita a "Tosh".

El libro, "Things the grandchildren should know", es otra maravilla que ya tenía millones de ganas de leer. Su autor, Mark Oliver Everett, también conocido como "Mr. E", es el compositor y músico del grupo indie americano "Eels", mi favorito en el mundo mundial y que sigo y bailo desde hace más de 10 años. Mark cuenta su vida, que como él mismo dice es bastante peculiar. Su padre, Hugh Everett III, fue un físico que se carteaba con Einstein en su adolescencia e inventó la teoría de los universos paralelos que fue rechazada en su momento, lo que le llevó a una frustración de caballo. La teoría no fue reconocida hasta su muerte, y hoy en día se le considera un genio. Mr. E perdió a su padre, con quien mantenía una relación de nuevo bastante peculiar. Poco después siguió el suicidio de su hermana y la muerte de su madre, quedándose solo y cargando con semejante dolor. Sin embargo, el libro no es nada victimista sino revelador, pues explica cómo entre tanta tragedia consigue darle la vuelta a la tortilla y convertir sus experiencias en la música más bonita (para mi gusto), llegando a ser uno de los compositores actuales más admirados en el mundo. Aquí os dejo con una de sus canciones, "Mr. E´s beautiful Blues", venga nenas a mover ese cuerpo bonito! Para quien no conozca a los Eels el libro vale la pena igualmente, uno de esos que te lees en unas horas y queda para siempre.

Last Sunday 8th June was my birthday! Thanks to all the ones that sent me a greeting, the new and old friends, I was so happy about it! My boyfriend baked a delicious cake (first time a guy bakes a cake for me, another thing to celebrate!), my family came to Berlin to taste it, we got a great time together and the temperatures just raised as hell in Germany, it was time!In the picture above are the 2 most special gifts I got (besides the cake, of course). A pendant with 2 little wings of freedom to fly very high, as my Dad says, from "Tosh Berlin", wich I could say it´s my favourite shop in the city. They have SO BEAUTIFUL jewels in there! (and purses, bags, belts...). I discovered the shop soon after coming to Berlin and always looked at the window with delight (and desire), but because there was no money, no "Tosh" and happily now those wings came to me! If you ever go to Berlin, I recommend you to pay it a visit!

Its author, Mark Oliver Everett, also known as "Mr. E", is the leader of american indie band "Eels", my favourite in the whole world, wich I follow and dance for more than 10 years now. Mark writes about his life, wich as he says himself is quite peculiar. His father, Hugh Everett III, was a physicist who as a teenager used to exchange letters with Einstein and invented the theory of the many worlds, rejected in that time and leading him into huge frustration and depression. The theory was not recognized until his death and nowadays he´s considered as a genius. Mr. E then lost his father, with who he got an again, very peculiar relation. Soon after her sister committed suicide and her Mom died too, leaving him alone and carrying with such a pain. The book though is not self-pitiful at all, as he explains how he gets to turn tragedy into the most beautiful tunes (in my opinion) and become one of the most respected and admired songwriters worlwide. Here goes one of his songs, "Mr. E´s beautiful Blues"... To the ones not knowing "Eels", the book is worth anyway, one of those you get to read in a few hours but stays forever.
